SRT Clinic
7 Continuing Education Hours
The key to effective treatment is the ability to correctly assess a patient’s symptoms. Massage therapists are not encouraged to take the time to assess before starting treatment. Don’t be fooled by the symptoms the patient reports, but rather learn to identify and treat the underlying problem or culprit. You must use what the patient writes on your extensive intake form, what they say in their oral history, how they answer your questions, the clues from their standing, walking, and passive posture, and what emotional issues may be influencing their symptoms. This advanced class unites the pieces of assessment and symptoms from all of the basic SRT classes. You will learn real visual, verbal, and functional assessment of the body from Taya’s 32+ years of experience without the limitations of the traditional western medicine model. We will also discuss Fibromyalgia and the chronic pain patient and you will receive many useful handouts. There is ample time for questions and for sharing strategies.
** We strongly recommend you take several SRT classes before attending this integration class.**
